The Game Story:
BIDDEFORD, Maine - Wentworth Institute of Technology received goals from 10 different players as the Leopards cruised past the University of New England, 13-7, in The Commonwealth Coast Conference men's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon.

The Nor'easters opened the scoring just 34 seconds into the match on the first of three goals by Mike Nawrocki '09 (Baldwin, Md.). Wentworth responded with four goals to close out the first period for a three-goal advantage (4-1).

After building a 7-1 halftime lead, the Leopards (7-5, 5-3 TCCC) put the game out of reach in the third quarter, outscoring the hosts by a 5-2 margin to gain a 12-3 lead. Derek Rupert '08 (Louisville, N.Y.) and Chris Wesche '09 (Holden, Mass.) each notched a pair of goals in the period.

UNE (2-11, 0-8 TCCC) would find the back of the net four times in the final stanza, but ran out of time in the comeback effort.

Rupert paced the balanced Wentworth attack with three goals, while Cory Benulis '09 (Victor, N.Y.) and Matt Cox '11 (Granger, Ind.) contributed a goal and three assists apiece. Nick Murphy '08 (Cohasset, Mass.) picked up the win in net, making 22 saves and allowing four goals over 47:45 of playing time.

Andy Briggs '09 (Scituate, R.I.) made 14 saves for the Nor'easters, who travel to Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Tuesday for a non-conference tilt starting at 4:00 p.m.

The Leopards visit Western New England College on Wednesday for a TCCC match. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
