Kings Point, NY - The three-headed monster of Sean and Brennan Dougherty and Jim Flannery combined for 11 goals en route to leading the United States Merchant Marine Academy Lacrosse Mariners to a 14-5 rout of Skyline Conference rival Manhattanville College Wednesday night at Captain Tomb Field.

It did not take long for the Mariners to take command of the game as Brennan Dougherty putting the Blue & Gray on the board thanks to a helper from Flannery for the first goal of the game. Less than 20 seconds later, Kings Point found themselves ahead 2-0 on Danny Song's unassisted tally.

Dougherty (Brennan) added another score at the 7:52 mark of the first period with another assists coming the way of Flannery. Tony McDonald scored the final goal of the frame for the Mariners, but the Valiants managed to avoid getting shutout on Vin Menzenski's unassisted goal with 25 second left in the quarter.

Menzenski halved the Mariner led with another score less than two minutes into the second period. Manhattanville added another quick strike within 30 seconds to make it a one-goal deficit on Luke Dorfman's tally.

The threat stopped there as Flannery went on a rampage with three straight goals.
