The Game Story:
UTICA, N.Y. (April 5, 2006) -- Visiting Nazareth scored 16 of its season-high 19 goals in the second and third quarters Wednesday to overcome an early deficit in a 19-7 men's lacrosse victory over Utica College at Gaetano Stadium.

Trailing 3-1 early on, Nazareth scored 10 of the next 11 goals, including nine goals in the second quarter to take control. The Golden Flyers led 11-5 at halftime and scored seven more times in the third quarter to extend their advantage to 18-5.

The win was the sixth straight for the fifth-ranked Golden Flyers, who improved to 7-1 overall and 2-0 in the Empire 8 Conference. Utica is 5-3 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

Junior midfielder Chad Amidon scored Nazareth's first four goals, including the tying and go-ahead goals early in the second quarter. Senior Bryan Adams (3 goals, 3 assists) scored all three of his goals in the second quarter and Jordan Hirsch, Ryan Hotaling, Greg Kanellis and Ryan Maciaszek (pictured) also scored. Utica's Ryan McGowan scored with :01 left in the second quarter to break the Nazareth string.

Nazareth scored seven more times in the third quarter to expand its lead. Maciaszek scored three times and junior midfielder Kevin Kimball scored twice. Hotaling (3 goals, 3 assists) added a goal in third quarter and one in the fourth.

Nazareth returns to action Saturday for a home game against Hartwick at 1 p.m.
