Utica College vs. Oswego State

The Game Story:
The Utica College menís lacrosse team halted a three-game losing streak with a 19-8 win over the visiting Lakers of Oswego State on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Matt Donaldson (General Brown/Dexter) led the Pioneer attack with a game-high seven goals, while senior Nate Jobson (General Brown/Dexter) chipped in with a game-high five assists.

Sophomore Steve Schoen (Whitesboro/Whitesboro) tallied five points on two goals and three assists, and junior Andrew Singer (Scotia-Glenville/Scotia) finished with four points on three goals and one assist. Senior Pete Masterpole (Bishop Ludden/Syracuse) rounded out the teamís multi-point performers for the afternoon with a goal and an assist.

Juniors Keith McCormick (IHC/Watertown) and Jacob Beck (Amsterdam/Amsterdam), and sophomores Justin Schmidt (Whitesboro/Whitesboro), Nick Evanoff (Cicero-N. Syracuse/Cicero) and Ryan McGowan (Northport/Northport) each found the back of the net once for the Pioneers.

Junior Blake Bernard (Whitesboro/marcy) troubled the opposition in face-offs all afternoon, winning 22-of-27 situations.

Junior goaltender Shawn Ryan (Webster/Webster) allowed eight goals and collected seven saves to capture the win in goal for Utica.
