| Summary: The Cardinals of St. John Fisher College scored four fourth-period goals, including two goals over the final two minutes and 30 seconds of regulation, to earn a 11-9 conference win over the Pioneers in their season finale on Saturday afternoon at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium. Senior Matt Donaldson (General Brown/Dexter) led the Pioneer offensive effort with a four-goal performance, while senior Pete Masterpole (Bishop Ludden/Syracuse) chipped in with three points on a goal and two assists. Sophomore Ryan McGowan (Northport/Northport) found the back of the net twice on the afternoon. The Pioneer attack also received assistance from senior Nate Jobson (General Brown/Dexter), who delivered a goal and assisted on another, and junior Keith McCormick (IHC/Watertown), who contributed a goal. Junior Blake Bernard (Whitesboro/Marcy) won 18-of-24 face-off opportunities. Junior Shawn Ryan (Webster/Webster), who allowed 11 goals and made 10 saves, was handed the loss in goal for UC. |
