March 14, 2008
The Game Story:
RIVERDALE, NY (March 13, 2008) -- Senior Tristan Jemiolo (Poughkeepsie, NY/Arlington) scored four goals, including the game winner with a minute to play, to lead Vassar's men's lacrosse team to an 11-10 victory over Fontbonne (Mo.) College at a game played at Manhattan College. Jemiolo, who also added an assist, helped the Brewers notch their first win of the season and are now 1-3 on the year. Statistics from this game, along with Vassar's two other neutral site games against Utica and Western Connecticut, will not be available until the team returns from its spring break games.

Jemiolo, and sophomore midfielder Nick Cardillo (Honeoye Falls, NY/McQuaid Jesuit) who added three goals, both scored career highs.

Vassar overcame two 3 goal deficits for the victory. The Brewers were down 7-4 at the half and behind 10-7 late in the fourth before rallying.

The Brewer defense held strong in the second half, allowing only one goal in the third quarter and two in the fourth. Anchoring the defense all afternoon was sophomore goalie Ed Pappo (Malvern, PA/Conestoga) who made numerous clutch saves down the stretch.
