| LEXINGTON, Va. -- The 19th-ranked Washington and Lee men’s lacrosse team had 10 different players score a goal en route to an 18-3 victory over DeSales University on Wednesday evening at Wilson Field. The Generals (3-0) led just 2-1 at the end of the first period, but posted six goals in the second period and seven more in the third to assume a commanding 15-1 lead heading into the final quarter. Senior attackman Seth Fishman (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Haverford) led the Generals with a career-high five goals, while junior attackman Will Keigler (Timonium, Md./Gilman) notched two goals and three assists. Sophomore attackman Spence Daw (Phoenix, Md./Loyola) tallied two goals and two assists and sophomore attackman Drew Mancini (Hillsborough, Calif./Deerfield Academy) posted one goal and three assists. Sophomore midfielder Mark Wachtmeister (Wellesley, Mass./Belmont Hill) added a trio of goals in the winning effort. Senior Connor Locke (Alexandria, Va./St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes) played the first 45 minutes in goal for W&L, allowing one goal and making three saves. Junior Matt Mason (Gladwyne, Pa./St. Mark’s) and sophomores Jason Lumpkin (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) and Ned Lundvall (Richmond, Va./Gilman) all split time in the final 15 minutes, combining to make three saves. Junior attackman Matthew Kruszewski (Atco, N.J./Winslow Township), junior midfielder Kevin Walker (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) and senior midfielder Joshua Van Hart (Glen Gardner, N.J./Voorhees) all found the net for DeSales (0-1). Junior Jarryd Stamatelos (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) played the opening 45 minutes in goal for the Bulldogs, making 12 saves. Sophomore Justin Campanelli (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) played the final 15 minutes and posted two stops. Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday as it travels to sixth-ranked Washington College for a 1:00 pm contest.
