The Game Story:
Senior Tom Brown (Laurel MD/ Hammond) became the Centennial Conference?s most prolific scorer as he blasted home 6 goals in leading Western Maryland to a 19-5 trouncing over Swarthmore. After sitting out the first half, Brown scored all of his goals in a 8 minute span breaking the game open after only leading 7-3 at the half.

Brown now has 181 career goals breaking the old mark of 180 goals held by Chris Anderson of Haverford College. Earlier in the game, he also broke Bill Hallett?s school record of 178 goals.

Brown was not alone on the offensive end. Fellow All American Joe Ellis (Columbia MD/ Oakland Mills) scored 2 goals and handed out 4 assists. Rob Weaver (Laurel MD/ St. Vincent Pallotti) had 1 goal and 3 assists and Justin Merson (New Windsor MD/ FSK) contributed 3 goals. As a team, WMC out shot the Garnet Tide 38 to 18. Net minder Brian Nottingham (Baltimore MD/ Gilman) allowed only 3 goals in 3 plus quarters of action.

The #11 Green Terror up there mark to a perfect 8-0 on the season. Conference action heats up on Wednesday as the Diplomats of Franklin & Marshall visit Bair Stadium. Opening face-off is set for 3:30.
