The Game Story:
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Defending champion Western New England College advanced to the championship game of the Pilgrim League Tournament with an 11-4 victory over visiting Babson College at Golden Bear Stadium. Senior goalie Patrick Dabrowski (Baltimore, MD) was the key performer finishing with 27 saves. He entered the game 10th nationally in save percentage (66.1). Senior Nick Salvatori (Barre, VT) and sophomore Pat Matthews (Middle Island, NY) led the offensive attack with three goals apiece. Babson (9-5) received two goals from Brian Collins (Needham, MA). WNEC (8-8) will meet the winner of the Springfield-Mass. Maritime game in the championship game Saturday. (In the other Pilgrim League Tournament semifinal game, Massachusetts Maritime visits Springfield College in a 7 p.m. start Wednesday.)
