SPRINGFIELD, Mass. Ė Senior Brody Savoie (Wilbraham, MA) scored four goals with three assists to lead the Western New England College menís lacrosse team to an 18-4 victory over New England College Thursday afternoon (April 9).

WNEC, ranked ninth nationally, rebounded from a loss Tuesday night at No. 10 Tufts, to improve its record to 7-2. The Golden Bears remain undefeated in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) with a 4-0 mark.

Freshman Patrick White (Milton, MA) opened the scoring just 13 seconds into the contest with an assist from Savoie who scored 3:58 later to give the hosts an early 2-0 lead.

Western New England College led 5-0 after the opening period and held a 9-0 advantage before sophomore Ryan Von Uffel (Cold Spring Harbor, NY) put the Pilgrims on the board with 7:16 left before halftime.

The Golden Bears led 10-1 at the break and 14-2 after three periods.

White finished with three goals while junior Tim Santye (Skillman, NJ) contributed two goals and two assists.

Freshman Nick Jez (Somers, CT) and Chris Titi (Acton, MA) each added a pair of goals.

Junior Bill Greider (South Windsor, CT) had 10 ground balls and won 12 of 15 faceoffs.

Sophomores Matt Carey (Medford, NY) and John Gabriel (West Nyack, NY) each had a goal and assist for New England College who drops to 5-5 overall and 3-3 in the conference.
