The Game Story:
The SUNY Brockport Menís Lacrosse team dropped its season finale on Saturday 9-5 to SUNY Oneonta in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) contest in Brockport.

The Golden Eagles (7-6, 1-5 SUNYAC) needed to win today in order to keep their SUNYAC Tournament hopes alive and with the loss have concluded their season.

Oneonta (12-4, 3-3 SUNYAC) opened the scoring in the first quarter with two goals to take a 2-0 lead. Brockport got on the board when freshman Pat Reilly (Fairport, NY/Fairport) found the back of the cage off a pass from Gavin Bortz (Spencer, NY/Ithaca). The Red Dragons scored the next two to take a 4-1 lead at the end of the first 15 minutes.

Adam Drypolcher (Manlius, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) cut the deficit to 4-2 as he scored his team-leading 31st goal of the season. Oneonta would score one more time to take a 5-2 lead into halftime.

In the third quarter, senior Aaron Rivers (Watertown, NY/Watertown) opened the second half with a goal at the seven minute mark cutting the Red Dragon lead to 5-3. The Golden Eagles could get no closer as Oneonta strung together the next three goals to extend the lead to 8-3 with just over 10 minutes to play in the fourth quarter.

Joe Gomez (Amherst, NY/Amherst) and Brad Olzinski (Johnson City, NY/Union Endicott) each scored fourth quarter goals but it was not enough as the Red Dragons held on for the 9-5 victory.

Five different Golden Eagles registered goals on the day and Gomez added two assists to go along with his one goal. Drypolcher recorded two points on one goal and one assist.
