POTSDAM DEFEATS SUNY BROCKPORT IN MEN'S LACROSSE Bears withstand Golden Eagles comeback, 13-10

PITTSFORD, NY -- Potsdam jumped out to a 9-3 halftime lead and held on for a 13-10 men's lacrosse victory over SUNY Brockport Saturday Afternoon. Brockport scored three goals in a the final three minutes of the fourth quarter to pull within three but time ran out on the Golden Eagle's comeback effort.

Freshman attack Greg Stocks scored four goals and added one assist for Potsdam. He got help from Jedidiah Hammill who scored two goals while handing out five assists along with Eric Lehman who scored two goals and assisted on two more.

Freshamn attack Trevor Lemner (Wyantskill/Albany Academy) lead the way for the Golden Eagles with three goals. Other goal scorers for the Golden Eagles were freshman attack Mike Beach (Liverpool/Liverpool) who scored two goals and added one assist. Attack Rob Siddell (Fayetteville/Fayetteville-Manlius) added one goal and two assists on the afternoon while Ben Bullock (Maine/Maine-Endwell), and Matt Prentice (Auburn/Auburn) each scored two goals.

Potsdam outshot Brockport 40-38, including a 30-13 edge in the first half. Brockport had a 25-10 shot advantage in the second half. Jim Amell (North Syracuse/Cicero-North Syracuse) made 13 saves for the Golden Eagles while Ryan Hanretty made 17 saves for the Bears. Potsdam lead Brockport in ground balls 13-12.

SUNY Brockport returns to action Wednesday April 16 at home against Cortland at 4 p.m.
