| Golden Eagles Tame Wildcats 13-2 Adam Drypolcher records five points in victory March 24, 2007 Freshman Adam Drypolcher (Manlius, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) registered five points on four goals and an assist to lead the SUNY Brockport Men’s Lacrosse team to a 13-2 non-league victory over Cazenovia College at Nazareth College on Saturday. The Golden Eagles (3-1) erupted for seven first period goals to take control on the rainy and chilly afternoon in Rochester. Sophomore Brad Olzinski (Johnson City, NY/Union Endicott) netted the first goal of the game on an unassisted goal to give Brockport a 1-0 lead. Drypolcher scored his first of four less than a minute later and then after two more Golden Eagle goals, found senior Dominick Anthony (N. Syracuse, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) for the fifth goal of the period to push the lead to 5-0. Drypolcher found the back of the net for two more goals before the end of the period to give Brockport a 7-0 lead to end the first. In the second, Cazenovia scored their first goal of the season before the Golden Eagles tallied three more goals to give Brockport a 10-1 lead at intermission. After a Wildcat goal in the third period, the Golden Eagles scored the last three goals of the game to account for the 13-2 final score. Brockport outshot the Wildcats 38-23 in the game. Brockport was led by Drypolcher’s four goals, while Olzinski registered three of his own. Freshman Pat Reilly (Fairport, NY/Fairport) recorded four assists for the Golden Eagles. The Golden Eagles were forced to play the non-league contest at Nazareth College due to unplayable field conditions on the SUNY Brockport campus. |
