| ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 7-7 overall and 6-3 in the Middle Atlantic Conference with an 8-5 home win over FDU-Florham Saturday. FDU-Florham drops to 6-6 overall and 5-3 in the MAC with the loss. It was Etown's first win ever against FDU-Florham in four meetings between the teams. The Blue Jays held FDU-Florham scoreless throughout the first half and carried a 4-0 lead into halftime. Etown out-shot FDU-Florham 19-12 in the first half. In the second half, FDU-Florham out-shot Etown 24-20 and out-scored the Blue Jays 5-4 as Etown was able to hang on for the win. Etown first-year goaltender Chris Schuch (Columbia, PA/Hempfield) made 18 saves and had one ground ball while allowing just five goals. Frankie Puzzangara (Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven) scored three goals and had one assist to lead the Etown offense. Bryan Miller (West Chester, PA/Henderson) and Matt Newell (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) each scored one goal and had one assist for Etown. Newell now has 97 career goals. Also scoring single goals for Etown were Allen Churchman (Aston, PA/Garnet Valley) and Justin Griffey (Aberdeen, MD/Aberdeen). James Markey (Branchburg, NJ/Immaculata) led FDU-Florham in goals scored with two. Spencer Driggs (Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo), Paul Ament (Haverford, PA/Haverford) and Justin Tischler (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) each scored one goal for the visiting Devils Elizabethtown will return to action on the road Saturday, April 30 at 1:00 p.m. against MAC rival DeSales University in the final game of the regular season.
