The Game Story:
ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Junior Aaron Weber (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township) became Elizabethtown College's career leader in points as the Blue Jays defeated Misericordia University 15-3 in Middle Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon at Wolf Field.

Weber scored two goals and two assists to increase his career total to 169 points, breaking the previous record of 167 points set by Frankie Puzzangara from 2004 to 2007. He also moved within one of becoming the third player in program history to score 100 career goals.

With the victory, the Blue Jays (11-3 overall, 7-3 MAC) broke the program single-season record for wins in a season and assured themselves of a first-round playoff game at home on Monday against an opponent to be determined.

Senior Ryan McCafferty (Orlando, FL/Boone) became the sixth player in program history to reach 100 career points as he scored a game-high three goals for the Blue Jays, who led 8-0 after one quarter and 11-1 at intermission.

Joining Weber with two goals apiece were junior Kyle Huckle (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca), sophomore Shawn Corcoran (Hershey, PA/Hershey) and first-year student Drew Stitt (Easton, PA/Moravian Academy).

Single goals coming from junior Keith Staulters (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa), sophomore Ben Landis (Talmage, PA/Conestoga Valley) and first-year students Sean O'Neil (Philadelphia, PA/Bishop Shanahan) and Evan Cobb (Kennett Square, PA/Unionville).

Sean McGuigan led the Cougars (3-12 overall, 1-9 MAC) with a pair of goals while Patrick McTague had two assists. Misericordia was outshot 45-23 by the Blue Jays and collected just 27 ground balls to 50 for Elizabethtown.

First-year defender Brian Wenger (Kingsville, MD/Loyola Blakefield) finished with a team-high six ground balls for the Blue Jays, with junior Corey Toby (Norwalk, CT/Brien McMahon) chipping in with five and sophomore Shakir Saunders (Bethesda, MD/Cheshire Academy, CT) with four. Ryan Blevins had a game-high seven ground balls for Misericordia.

In goal, first-year student Brendan Corcoran (Hershey, PA/Western Reserve Academy) started for the Blue Jays and made three saves in 26 minutes, followed by sophomore Hunter Malick (Center Valley, PA/Moravian Academy) with two saves in 15 scoreless minutes and senior Austin Hayes (Elizabethtown, PA/Elizabethtown) with three saves in 19 minutes. Ryan Kay (five saves) and James Scott (eight saves) each played in goal for the Cougars.
