The Game Story:
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Kenyon netted seven unanswered goals in the third
quarter to break a halftime tie and earned a 10-3 victory over
Washington & Jefferson in men's lacrosse action on Saturday
afternoon at Alexandre Stadium.

W&J (4-6) took a 3-1 lead after one quarter of play following goals
by sophomore midfielder Russ Kalkstein (Baltimore, Md./Loyola) and
freshmen attacker Zach Devilbiss (New Market, Md./Francis Scott Key)
and midfielder T.J. Mollica (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge).

The Lords (7-2) were able to tie the game heading into halftime
after goals by juniors attacker Adam Lucas (Ruxton, Md./St. Paul's)
and midfielder Luke Larson (Mercer Island, Wash./Seattle Acad.) in a
span of 37 seconds midway through the period.

Kenyon then exploded for seven goals in the first 13:12 of the third
quarter to seal the victory. Larson and senior midfielder Adam
Kleinman (Chappaqua, N.Y./Horace Greeley) both scored a pair of
goals during the run.

Larson finished the game with three goals, while senior midfielder
Brad Harvey (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) added two goals and one
assist. Sophomore goalie Charlie Floeckher (Lutherville, Md./Boys
Latin) held the Presidents scoreless for the final 45:04 and totaled
nine saves.

Sophomore goalie Spooky Reid (Franklin, Tenn./University School of
Nashville) took the loss for the Presidents after making 12 stops.

Kenyon held a 26-19 shot advantage and collected 36 ground balls.
The Lords also claimed 10 of 17 faceoffs.

W&J rounds out its 2006 home schedule on Wednesday when it hosts
Wooster in a 7:00 pm contest.
