Cazenovia vs. Mount Saint Vincent

The Game Story:
CHITTENANGO, N.Y. Ė The Cazenovia College menís lacrosse team lost a tight game to the Mt. St. Vincent Dolphins, 11-9, Saturday afternoon in their first home game of the season.

Brent Brearly (Vestal, NY) scored three goals and Cory Tilton (Central Square, NY) had two and four assists as the Wildcats fell to 0-3.

Cazenovia fell behind 4-1 in the second quarter but roared back with a 5-2 run to make the score 6-6 with 7:35 left in the third period. The Dolphins ripped off three goals in just over three minutes spanning the third and fourth to regain a comfortable lead. The Wildcats got within one twice down the stretch but, the Dolphins had an answer every time they came knocking.

Four other players scored a goal for Cazenovia in their highest scoring game of the season. They got off 31 shots and grabbed 30 ground balls in the loss.

Alex Ianicello (Camilus, NY) registered 23 saves for the Wildcats in 60 minutes.
