Cazenovia vs. Wells
April 14, 2012
The Game Story:
Cazenovia, NY - While the expectation was to win, the goal was to make a statement in the NEAC. Kicking off the day during a pregame ceremony, seniors TJ Shaw (Tully, NY), Brad Gibson (Hamburg, NY), Dylan West (Hauppauge, NY), Ben McCarthy (Duanesburg, NY), Alex Iannicello (Warners, NY), Jevon Pakkala (Newfield, NY), and Zach Gerald (North Syracuse, NY) were honored. Rejoining the huddle, the seniors led a raucous team chant of "Dominate" that set the tone for the day.
Cazenovia (6-4, 5-0 NEAC) stayed undefeated in conference play with a convincing 19-3 win over Wells College (3-10, 3-4 NEAC).
From the opening whistle, the Wildcats stuck to their game plan. Play was lead by juniors Cory Tilton (Central Square, NY) (6 goals and 3 assists) and Tim Mellon (Temple, NH) (4 goals and 2 assists), while seniors Shaw (2 goals and 6 assists) and West (1 goal and 3 assists) helped to distribute the ball. Iannicello, Gerald, and Sean Ward (Truxton, NY) anchored the defense, once again demonstrating their ability to control other teams' best offensive players.

Despite the high scoring Wildcat attack, it was Pat Boyle (Syracuse, NY) that was the diferance maker for Cazenovia in the goal, recording a career high 24 saves.
