Keuka Opens Season With 21-3 Win At Alvernia Four Players Score 3 Or More For Storm

Reading, PA (Mar. 13) Ė Four players scored at least three goals for the Keuka College menís lacrosse team as it topped Alvernia College, 21-3, Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Schlager Memorial Field.

Keuka opened the game with an 8-0 run through the first 15 minutes of play and went out to a 13-0 lead before Alvernia junior Steve Royles (Topton, PA/Brandywine Heights) notched his first career goal with 47 seconds left in the second quarter assisted by junior Andrew Marchetto-Ryan (Midland Park, PA/Midland Park). Keuka scored four goals in the third and four more in the fourth. Alvernia completed its scoring with two in the third quarter with one goal each from Marchetto-Ryan and Chris Kanauss (Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.).

Alvernia senior Hugh Algeo (Upper Darby, PA/Upper Darby) made 21 saves in net for the Crusaders.
