The Game Story:
ALLENTOWN, PA -- Second-ranked Washington College jumped out to an 11-1 halftime lead en route to a 12-4 win over host Muhlenberg College in Centennial Conference men's lacrosse action this afternoon in Allentown, PA. The Shoremen, who improved to 14-0 overall and 7-0 in conference play, secured the top seed and hosting rights in the Centennial Conference playoffs, with the win.

Senior midfielder Stephen Berger (Columbia, MD/Mt. St. Joseph) scored two goals and assisted on three others in the victory for Washington. Senior midfielders Michael Dyal (West Palm Beach, FL/Hotchkiss School, CT) and Brent Renner (Fairfax, VA/W.T. Woodson) each scored three goals.

Sophomore attackman Sam Lane (Fairfield, CT/Fairfield), freshman attackman Andrew Ostrusky (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park/Bridgton, ME), senior midfielder Topher Brewer (Wilton, CT/Vermont Academy, VT), and senior midfielder Michael McWilliams (Essex, NJ/West Essex) each tallied one goal for the Shoremen. Sophomore attackman Neil Hayes (Irvington, VA/Christchurch School), junior attackman Jon Spivey (Timonium, MD/Dulaney), and freshman attackman Kevin Nolan (Clark, NJ/A.L. Johnson) recorded one assist each.

Galen Marsh scored two goals to lead the Mules (5-7, 0-6). Cliff Burwell and Kyle Hart each scored one goal, while Michael Blum and Jordan Schanen each had an assist.

Washington will host the conference semifinals and championship on May 7th and 9th, respectively.

The Shoremen finish off Centennial Conference regular season play Wednesday with a 4:00 p.m. game at Swarthmore.
