The Game Story:
Fourth Quarter Rally Falls Short as Catholic Tops Men's Lax, 11-7

FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College men's lacrosse team (0-9) put together a furious fourth-quarter rally, scoring six goals in the final period, but time ran out on the Blazers who fell 11-7 to the visiting Catholic University Cardinals (3-2) Tuesday in nonconference action.

The Blazers trailed just 3-1 after the first two quarters but the Cardinals put together a six-goal third period to seize a 9-1 advantage. Catholic added another tally to go up 10-1 early in the fourth quarter, but the Blazers didn't go away quietly.

Sofiane Lazar scored two goals in a span of just seven seconds to ignite a scoring spree for the Blazers. Jason Anderson scored a pair of man-up goals while Blake Rust and Will Oconis also found the back of the net to cut the Cardinal lead to 10-7 with 3:24 to play. But Baker Millo notched an unassisted tally at the 2:41 mark to push the margin back to four. The Cardinals won the ensuing face-off and did not allow another Blazer shot the rest of the way.

Oconis tied his own school record with four assists while Anderson notched his second hat trick in the last three games. Additionally, Sam Hofmann made 10 saves in goal.

After four straight home contests, the Blazers hit the road for three straight games away from Thomas Athletic Field. Hood takes on Capital Athletic Conference rival Wesley College Friday at 1 p.m.
