Immaculata vs. Shenandoah

The Game Story:
MMACULATA, Pa. - Shenandoah netted the game-winner with 1:11 left in the game, breaking open an 8-8 tie, and Immaculata was unable to find the back of the game as the Mighty Macs loss to the visiting Hornets, 9-8, Wednesday night at Draper Walsh Stadium in a Colonial States Athletic Conference men's lacrosse game.

Immaculata (3-7, 1-2 CSAC) held the lead throughout until Shenandoah's Stephen Mayor scored unassisted with 6:26 remaining the fourth quarter, giving the Hornets their first lead all night. Immaculata's Joe Keller scored the equalizer with 4:01 remaining, tying things up at 8-all.

Keller led the Mighty Macs attack with three points on two goals and one assist while Tom Hartney and Brendan Dinneen each tallied two goals. Dan Burgman and Zach Krytzer added one goal, and Jim Baranello recorded two assists.

The Mighty Macs scored the first four goals of the contest before the Hornets got on the scoreboard with just 50 seconds remaining in the first quarter. Shenandoah tallied three straight goals over 7:59, spanning the first and second quarters, trimming Immaculata's lead to 4-3 with 7:51 left in the second.

Immaculata held just a one-goal advantage at the break, 5-4. Shenandoah outscored Immaculata, 5-3, during the second half with two goals in the third and three in the fourth for its comeback.

Kevin Totaro paced Shenandoah with two goals and one assist, and Mayor was the other multi-goal scorer with two.

Both goalkeepers played exceptional. Immaculata's Andrew Sim took the loss making 21 saves while Rodney Mattison picked up the win for the Hornets with 18 saves.

Immaculata travels to Marywood on April 15 with face-off set for 4 p.m.
