Immaculata vs. Widener

The Game Story:
Senior Johnny Casey (Glenside, PA) tied his career high with six goals as Widener rolled to a 16-7 triumph at Immaculata.

Casey completed his hat trick in the first quarter when the Pride raced to a 5-1 lead. His last goal in the period gave the visitors a 5-0 cushion after senior Ryan Eidenshink (Elkins Park, PA) and freshman Tim Taylor (Philadelphia, PA) also tallied.

Taylor took his turn in the spotlight in the second quarter, scoring twice to give Widener an insurmountable 10-3 halftime cushion. Freshman Kyle Gratz (Worthington, OH), senior Josh Fox (Wynnewood, PA) and freshman Matt Natale (Pottstown, PA) also tallied in the period for Widener, which ended the half with a 21-8 shots edge.

Casey scored twice early in the second half and added one later in the third quarter to complete his scoring. It is the second time he reached six goals and first since April 7, 2012 against Albright.

Taylor scored three times for his second hat trick of the season as he, Casey and freshman Marc La Vine (Nashua, NH) all closed with three assists. Casey and junior Timothy Winslow (Newbury, MA) finished with six ground balls apiece.

Junior Mac Nestler (Chatham, NJ) and senior Bobby Schluter (Kennett Square, PA) each played 30 minutes and made six saves apiece for the Pride (3-2), who closed with a 51-23 shots edge.

Dante Tuscai had three goals, two assists, seven ground balls and won 12-of-18 face-offs for the Mighty Macs (1-4). Jon Diodati made 20 saves.
