Immaculata vs. Lebanon Valley

The Game Story:
IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's men's lacrosse team suffered a 14-3 defeat by the visiting Dutchmen of Lebanon Valley College on Saturday afternoon in non-conference play.

After a slow offensive start to the contest, Lebanon Valley scored two goals during the final 5:03 of the first quarter to begin the scoring for the Dutchmen. Lebanon Valley scored five more goals during the second half, two of those during the first five minutes. Trailing 4-0, Immaculata got on the scoreboard with 7:12 remaining before halftime as Mike Boyd scored assisted. However, that would be the Mighty Macs' only goal of the first half as the Dutchmen led at the break, 7-1.

Immaculata scored one goal in each of the third and fourth quarters. Ben Tuscai scored at the 9:43 mark of the third to make it a 9-2 game, while Rocco Piliero scored the final goal of the contest with 3:01 to play.

Immaculata (1-3) goalkeeper Jon Diodati made 17 saves while playing all 60 minutes in goal. Mike Moll started for Lebanon Valley and played the first half with six saves.

Malik Pedroso paced Lebanon Valley (2-1) with four goals and five assists for nine points. Alex Beard also had three goals and one assist.

Immaculata will be back in action Wednesday afternoon against Widener at 4 p.m. at Draper Walsh Stadium.
