The Game Story:
NEWPORT NEWS, VA Ė Six goals by Britt Hoover led CNU menís lacrosse past Washington & Jefferson, 13-9, at Captainís Field. The win improves CNU to 5-2 for the season while Washington & Jefferson drops to 3-3.

The Captains jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period with goals by John Glaser, Chase Walton and Hoover. Washington & Jeffersonís Mark Ringeling got things started in the second period with a goal at 14:31. CNU answered with three more goals from Zach Hill and Hoover (with 2). Ringeling struck for a second time at 7:41 for the Presidents and CNU finished the second period with two more goals from Hoover.

Goals in the third period went back and forth with CNU netting three and Washington & Jefferson with two. The Patriots came back strong in the fourth period with five goals but could never cut the lead to less than four goals.

Andy McGregor had eight saves on the night.

CNU led in shots with 39 and groundballs with 42.

The Captains return to action next Saturday, March 27, as they head to Lynchburg College.
