The Game Story:
ADRIAN, Mich. - Josh Maluta and Jeff Ivey each scored twice on Wednesday afternoon but Adrian was outscored 9-2 in the second half of a 14-7 loss to Ohio Wesleyan. Karl Zimmerman led Ohio Wesleyan with four goals and Chris Ehlinger and Dave Castignola each added three goals.

Pat Gaeger had 15 saves in net but fell to 1-2 on the year. Adrian (4-2) dropped their second straight and were outshot 50-24 during the game. The game was well played by the Bulldogs in the first half as both teams were tied at 5-5. Adrian scored three goals in the first quarter but managed just four goals the rest of the way. OWU had a six-goal fourth quarter which salted the game away for the Battling Bishops (4-3).

The teams alternate goals in the first half as neither team led by one than one goal. Maluta, Ivey and Brad Higgins all scored in the first half for Adrian. Ohio Wesleyan was aided by three man-down goals during the contest and also scored two man-up goals.

OWU scored the first eight goals of the second half before Adrian stopped the streak as George Riegel scored at the 6:38 mark of the fourth. Eric Hubert also scored with one second left in the game with an assist from Maluta.
