|ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College men's lacrosse team dropped their third straight game on Saturday afternoon at Performance Stadium with a 19-9 loss to Wittenberg University.|
Wittenberg jumped out to an early 7-3 lead after the first quarter and never looked back as they outscored Adrian in every quarter. Ryan Knautz once again led the offensive attack for the Bulldogs. Knautz scored four goals and also made an assist to earn five points against the Tigers.
Wittenberg outscored Adrian 4-1 in the second quarter to hold an 11-4 advantage at halftime. DJ Clevely scored the only goal of the quarter for the Bulldogs. The third quarter was the best quarter for the Bulldogs, but they were still outscored 5-4. Brad Higgins and Josh Maluta each scored a goal, while Knautz added the other two goals. Clevely once again scored the only goal of the quarter in the fourth.
Eric Lindstrom played the first quarter, but then was replaced by Pat Gaeger. Lindstrom allowed seven goals, while making three saves. Gaeger allowed 12 goals through the final 45 minutes of play and made six saves.
