| ADRIAN, Mich. - The Bulldogs left no doubt who the best team in the MLC was in an 18-8 win over Aurora during the MLC Championship game. After leading 6-5 going into the second half, Adrian rattled off 12 straight goals on the way to hoisting the championship trophy. The Bulldogs held a 4-0 lead in the first half before Aurora went on a streak, scoring the next three goals, making the score 4-3 closing out the quarter. John Hudzinski scored a goal to start the second, followed by T.J. Cook scoring one of his five goals. Aurora then scored two goals to close the half, making the score 6-5. Cook once again started the scoring in the second half, followed by a Tyler Tanguay goal three minutes later. Between the 8:52 mark until the 8:30 mark, Adrian scored three goals, which were all started from face-off wins from Mitch Barnard. Barnard finished the game 15-24 on faceoffs, while collecting 12 ground balls. Brandon MacDonald had three caused turnovers, while Tanguay added two goals and two assists. The Bulldogs out-shot the Spartans 51-27 on the game. |
