Trine vs. Adrian

The Game Story:
ANGOLA, Ind. - The men's lacrosse team improved to 8-5 with a 19-15 win at rival Trine on Saturday as D.J. Clevely scored five goals and Eric Lindstrom made 11 saves for the Bulldogs. The team has won three games in a row and will finish their season on May 2 at Washington & Jefferson.

Adrian led 6-5 after the first quarter and jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first 8:07 of the opening quarter. Five different players scored for the Bulldogs unassisted. Trine scored the first goal of the second quarter to tie the game at 6-6. Adrian scored the next two goals in a span of 1:17 as David Monroe and Josh Maluta regained the lead for Adrian.

The Thunder tied the game again at 8-8 with 8:35 left until halftime. AC got the next four goals to increase their lead to 12-8 with 4:41 left in the first half. Clevely scored two of those goals and Tony Schrank and T.J. Cook also found the back of the net.

The offense slowed down in the third quarter as Trine outscored Adrian, 3-2. Jeff Ivey and Cook each scored in the quarter and Adrian took a 14-12 lead into the final 15 minutes.

Eric Hubert and Clevely gave Adrian a 16-12 lead with 14:34 left scoring those goals in the first 26 seconds. The teams traded goals for the remainder of the game as Tyler Tanguay scored at 12:19 and Clevely scored his final two goals at 8:10 and 0:14. Both teams combined to go 0-for-7 in extra-man opportunities. Trine outshot Adrian, 43-38, for the game.
