The Game Story:
CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team set several school records in a 16-2 victory over the University of Dallas in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play at Warrior Field on Friday. The Warriors (3-8, 2-3) took a program record 62 shots, while the defense came up with new marks with 71 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers. The 16 goals was a season-high for Hendrix.

The visiting Crusaders (1-9, 1-5) managed just 20 shots, five of which were on goal. Hendrix also took 14-of-21 faceoffs.

After taking a 5-0 lead at halftime, the Warriors doubled the score with five more goals in the third. Hendrix tacked on six more in the fourth, while Dallas got on the board with two in the final period.

Sophomore midfielder Cameron Millstone scored three goals, all in the fourth quarter, and had an assist to go with 14 ground balls and went 13-of-17 on faceoffs. Millstone added two more program records to his credit with 48 career goals and 177 career shots taken.

Sophomore attacker Dillan Rice also had three goals and an assist with five ground balls and senior attacker Alex Wilkinson had two goals and two assists. Senior Don Geders, senior Zach Doelger and freshman Charles Hotchkiss added two goals a piece and freshmen Sean Tjaden and Matt Carpenter had a goal. Tjaden also recorded two assists.

Senior defenseman James Hanson came up with 11 ground balls and caused three turnovers and junior Robert McCarthy had eight ground balls and two caused turnovers. Freshman defenseman Will Tucker set a school record with five caused turnovers.

Chris Kerner and Frank Sporleder were responsible for the Crusaders' goals. Sporleder also led UD with eight ground balls. Keeper Blaise DuFrain recorded 21 saves.

Before the game, the Warriors honored their seven seniors - Geders, Doelger, Wilkinson, Hanson, Ben Nelson, John Schallhorn and Keith Clemens.
