The Game Story:
LYNDON CENTER, Vt. – Mount Ida jumped out to a 9-0 lead after one quarter of play and coasted to a 25-0 rout of Lyndon State College in North Atlantic Conference men’s lacrosse action Saturday afternoon.

Matthew Savage led the barrage with a three goals while Brett Conley Derek O’Reilly, Paul Battipaglia, Zach Jacobson and Christopher Prophete chipped in two each. Michael Simone, Derek Broughton, Leo Shidler, Dan Harrington, Billy Gerke, Nate Prince and Craig Heintzelman added one goal each for the Mustangs as did Sean Slattery, John Perez, Breandan Draper, Matt Vernik and Anthony DiMarsico.

Conley collected six assists in the contest, Alex Champagne had three and the trio of Broughton, Shidler and Simone earned two each. Vernik, James McAllister and Craig Naftal combined to make five saves for Mount Ida, who improved to 4-6 overall and 3-1 in the NAC.

Matt Adams (Duxbury, Mass.) made eight saves for the Hornets, who fell to 1-4 overall and 0-4 in the NAC.
