Anna Maria vs. Becker
April 1, 2009
The Game Story:
Leicester, Mass. - Becker College freshman attack Jon Nessen (Levittown, PA) and junior attack Josh Fask (Worcester, Mass.) combine for ten points as both players netted hat tricks in a 12-6 win over Route 56 rival Anna Maria College in non-conference men's lacrosse today at Alumni Field.

Fask scored two of the Hawks first three goals of the game as the Hawks held a slim 3-0 lead halfway through the first quarter. Amcats freshman midfielder Mike Saulnier (Wrentham, Mass.) scored two goals in twenty four seconds to cut the lead to 3-2 but Nessen scored his first goal with one minute remaining in the quarter to give Becker a 4-2 lead after fifteen minutes.

Becker (5-1) scored on an unassisted Aaron Fill (Ladner, BC) goal at the 9:27 mark of the second quarter and Nessen added his second tally as Becker increased their lead to 6-2 at halftime.

Anna Maria (0-7), playing in the inaugural season, cut the lead to 6-4 on two goals by freshman attack J. C. Crowley (Wantagh, NY) early in the third quarter. The Hawks proved to be too much outscoring the Amcats 6-2 the rest of the way.

Becker College goalkeeper Peter Fellows (Boylston, Mass.) made 16 saves for his fifth win. Anna Maria netminder Anthony DiTommaso (Ashby, Mass.) had seven saves in the loss.
