The Game Story:
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The BSC Panthers controlled the match from the beginning face-off to the final horn, defeating the Carthage College Red Men 15-6 in Panther Stadium. The win improves the Panthers to 2-5 on the season while the Red Men fall to 1-4.

Christopher Buechele got the Panthers on the board a minute into play with an unassisted goal past the Carthage goalie. DJ Ward scored 13 seconds later to put the Panthers up two. Ashkan Isfahani won the face-off after the Buechele goal and took the ball straight down the field and dished it to Ward for the quick goal. The Panthers never relinquished the lead from that point.

Jacob McPherson paced the Panthers with four goals on 11 shots. Chris Clarke came in just behind McPherson with three goals on three shots. Buechele ended the game with two goals on four shots and added an assist. Ward also posted two goals with four shots and added two assists on the day. Ryan Croft had two goals in seven shots, and Parker Samuel and Ashkan Isfahani each added a single goal to the Panther total of 15 in the game.

The Panthers dominated the shot totals, amassing 44 shots to Carthage's 25. They also snatched up more ground balls with 48 to CC's 34. Turnovers were fairly even with the Panthers taking the hit there 31-30. It was a good day from the face-off circle as the Panther's picked up 15-of-22 on the day.

The Panthers will return to the road for their next three games. The trip kicks off Monday in Lynchburg, Va. as the Panthers take on Randolph College. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Eastern (3:00 p.m. local).
