Albion was 1-for-7 on extra man opportunities proved to be the difference. The Britons had the extra man for 1:30 with the score tied in the fourth quarter, but it failed to score.

Fontbonne goalkeeper Thomas Carroll stopped shots by Tim Urso (Novi/Detroit Catholic Central) and Mitch Loney (Commerce Township/Walled Lake Northern) in the final two minutes. Carroll, who was supported by a defense that shut down Albion’s scoring leaders, made 13 saves to frustrate the Britons.
