MADISON, N.J. - Lebanon Valley lost 12-2 in its regular-season finale to RPI, but it hardly could have mattered less to them; just as they took the field, Albright's comeback win over Messiah handed the Dutchmen their first-ever postseason berth.

LVC (9-5, 3-3 CC) will enter the Commonwealth Conference as the #4 seed, and will visit top-seeded Albright on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. After finishing their conference schedule a week ago, the Dutchmen had an agonizing week-long wait to see if they would get the help they needed to get in the four-team field.

Lycoming will play at Widener in the other CC semifinal, with the winners meeting Thursday. That game's winner then faces the Freedom Conference winner for the automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

Playing at Madison High School in North Jersey, RPI (10-5) led 6-0 at halftime, then drilled four to start the third quarter before LVC scored on Ryan Leonard's goal from Ryan Lanigan. Matt Roupe added LVC's second goal just over a minute later from Jordan Mayr, a man-up score.

Scott Sutton was an outstanding 13-of-16 on faceoffs to lead LVC at the X. LVC managed just 16 shots in the game. Mike Moll made five saves in the first half, and Kevin Krasley stopped seven in the second half.
