The Game Story:

ROME, Ga. - Bryan Byers scored a game high five goals to lead Berry to a 15-4 victory over Oglethorpe in a men's lacrosse game at Ford Field Wednesday.

Berry held a slim 4-3 lead with just under eight minutes to play in the first half, but blew the game open by outscoring the Stormy Petrels 11-1 over the game's final 37:18.

The Vikings outshot Oglethorpe 46-26 in the game, and fired a whopping 21 shots in the second period. Berry also held a 47-32 ground ball advantage, and was successful on 19-of-23 clearing attempts.

Byers' five goals was the second highest scoring total by a Berry player this season, one fewer than Cal Supik's six in the opener against Millsaps. Nat Morey also scored five against Millsaps.

Michael Emanuelo scored four times for the Vikings Wednesday, while Morey scored twice and CJ McRae, Brandon French, Marshall Henderson and Wes Goldsberry each added one goal.

Morey led the Vikings with three assists, while Andy Kurila picked up a game high eight ground balls.

Berry goalie Jordan Boreman finished with 13 saves.

Oglethorpe received goals from Garrett LeBlanc, Trevor Byrum, Maseo Brown and Arness Holsey. Goalie John Brewer tallied 17 saves.

Berry is scheduled to return to action April 16, when it hosts the University of Dallas.
