The Game Story:
Kenski Nets 4 Goals in Win Over Alvernia

HARMONY, PA – Mike Kenski scored a career-high 4 goals and Eugene LaBorde made 15 saves as La Roche Men's Lacrosse (1-3) downed Alvernia College (1-2) 11-7 on a cold and windy night at Seneca Valley High School.

The Redhawks held a 6-5 halftime lead and scored five unanswered goals in the third quarter to take a control of the game. Kenski found the back of the net twice in the third quarter before Crawford Healy and Jon Monahan added goals to make it 10-5. Alvernia scored twice in the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to three goals, but Kenski registered another goal to put the game away.

Kenski finished with 4 goals and Crawford Healy and Dustin Reykdal each added two goals and an assist. Bryce Wells led the Redhawks with 10 ground balls, 4 caused turnovers and also scored. Brad Nylen recorded his first career goal and Nate Marsh had 6 ground balls.

La Roche won 17 of 21 faceoffs including 16 by Shawn Texieira. The Redhawks also outshot Alvernia 50-36 and picked up 16 more groundballs.

La Roche Lacrosse returns to action on Thursday, March 8 at the La Roche Lacrosse Field. Game is scheduled for 2:00PM.
