The Game Story:
The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (4-1, 0-0 Midwest Men's Lacrosse Conference) defeated DePauw University (0-3), 28-2, on Saturday, March 9 at Boswell Field in Greencastle, Ind. Carthage led, 9-0, after the first period and 17-1 at halftime. Danny Morse (Jr., O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon Township) led the Red Men with seven goals and three assists. Jack Meachum (Jr., Naperville, Ill./North) had four goals and two assists, Peter Slefinger (Sr., Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton-Warrenville South) four goals and one assist, Mason Poage (Sr., Columbia, Mo./Hickman) a goal and three assists and Adam Sammarco (Sr., Western Springs, Ill./La Grange-Lyons Township) a goal with three assists. Carthage plays host to MMLC-opponent the College of Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, March 16 in a 1 p.m. game at Art Keller Field. The Mount St. Joseph contest is both the home-opener and the league-opener for the Red Men.
