The Game Story:
DENVER, Colo. – Looking to rebound from their loss against Chicago last week, the Denver Outlaws entered Friday night’s game against the San Francisco Dragons with hopes of providing fireworks for their fans. Even though the game turned into a defensive struggle, the Outlaws and their fans were able to enjoy the post-game fireworks after a 10-9 win over the Dragons in front of 20,116 fans at INVESCO Field.

Brendan Mundorf was named as the Bud Light MVP after scoring two goals with two assists as the Outlaws won for the fifth time in the last six games.

The Outlaws used a balanced scoring attack to take a 7-3 lead at the intermission as six different Denver players scored in the opening 30 minutes. Matt Brown tallied twice during the first half to lead the Outlaws.

Led by two goals from rookie Matt Lalli, the Dragons closed within 8-7 by scoring four of the five goals in the third quarter.

However, the Outlaws held off the Dragons in the fourth quarter to post the victory.

While Mundorf led the Denver offense, Geoff Snider gave the Outlaws extra offensive opportunities by winning 15 of 23 face-offs in addition to nine ground balls.

Lalli and Brendan Loftus each scored two goals to lead San Francisco in a losing effort.
