FRANK RESETARITS SCORES CAREER-HIGH SIX GOALS IN UALBANY MEN'S LACROSSE WIN

Albany, N.Y. - Frank Resetarits scored a career-high six goals, while Corey Small added two goals and three assists as No. 19 Albany defeated crosstown-rival Siena, 14-9, in the first-ever men's lacrosse game at John Fallon Field on Saturday, March 4.
UAlbany (1-1) got out to a 2-0 advantage as Resetarits and Small netted unassisted goals.
Matt Girsh got Siena (0-1) on the board off a pass from Chris Viviano with 9:18 remaining in the first quarter.
The Great Danes led 4-2 after the first period, but scored the first three goals of the second quarter as Chris Martocchia, Merrick Thomson and Resetarits all found the back of the net. Siena's Matt Walsh cut the deficit to four with his first of two goals on the day with 5:32 left in the half, but UAlbany's Mike Ammann scored on a breakaway to give the Great Danes a 7-3 lead at the intermission.
Amman scored again forty-two seconds into the third period and Resetarits netted his fourth tally of the game fifty-four seconds later to open a six-goal advantage. Siena scored four of the game's next five goals and cut the lead to 10-7 with 14:13 left in the contest. UAlbany scored four unanswered goals over a 6:14 span to put the game away, including an extra-man goal by Derek Dale that started the spurt.
Chris Zarins led the Saints with three goals and two assists, while Matt Walsh also scored three goals and added one helper. Martocchia and Ammann both netted two goals for the Great Danes and goalkeeper Brett Queener made 10 saves.
