The Game Story:
Providence, RI - Senior Chazz Woodson (Virginia Beach, VA) scored three goals and senior Christopher Mucciolo (Manhasset, NY) and sophomore David Madeira (Norwich, VT) netted two goals each to lead 20th-ranked Brown to a 10-8 victory over Ohio State in the first ever meeting between the two teams. The win lifts Brown to 3-1 overall, while Ohio State's record fell to 2-4.

Following a game opening goal by Brown's Mucciolo, Ohio State jumped out to a 3-1 lead after one quarter on goals by Chris Brown, Justin Doran and Tom Randisi.

The Bears battled back, outscoring the Buckeyes 7-0 over the next 22 minutes. Goals by sophomore Alex Buckley (Ridgewood, NJ) and senior Britton Derkac (Virginia Beach, VA) tied the game with 12:49 left in the second quarter. Madeira gave Brown the lead for good, 4-3, when he scored the first of two straight goals with 5:36 left in the half. Madeira's second goal lifted the Bears to a 5-3 halftime advantage.

Mucciolo, Woodson and Will MeGettigan (Alexandria, VA) scored early third quarter goals for the Bears, with Mcgettigan's unassisted goal lifting Brown to a 8-3 advantage. Ohio State's Kyle Wilson stopped the Brown surge with a goal at 8:51 of the third quarter, but Woodson quickly answered for the Bears with a goal in the third quarter and the first goal of the fourth quarter to give Brown its biggest lead, 10-4, with 3:57 left in the game.

The Buckeyes made it interesting in the game's waning minutes with four late goals, the final tally by Randisi with 39 seconds left to play.

The difference in the game was Bears' junior goalie Nicholas Gentilesco (Setauket, NY), who made a career high 19 saves, including 11 in the first half. Ohio State goalie Mike Rimmer made 11 saves for the Buckeyes.

Brown will be back in action next Saturday, April 2, against defending national champion Syracuse at the Carrier Dome.
