| The Game Story: | Providence, RI - Senior Michael Scaglione and junior Ned Britt scored four goals each to lead the
Yale men's lacrosse team to a 14-9 Ivy League win over Brown.
Sophomore Chris Mucciolo (Manhasset, NY) gave Brown a 4-3 lead after one quarter of play on a
pass from senior Jon Thompson (Freeport, ME) at the 12:45 mark of the first quarter. The Elis
battled back to grab a 5-4 margin on goals by freshman David Schecter and Scaglione. Brown
junior Brian Miller (Monkton, MD) tied the game, 5-5, with an extra man goal on a pass from
Mucciolo at 8:30 of the second quarter.
Yale (5-1, 1-2 Ivy) scored four unanswered goals in the span of 53 seconds to take control of the
game and a 9-5 lead at the half. Britt scored the game winner at the 8:55 mark to give the Elis the
lead for good. After goals by junior Scott Kenworthy and Britt again, Scaglione's goal at the 9:52
mark gave Yale a 9-5 advantage.
Mucciolo led the Bears with four goals, while Miller added two goals. Junior Mike Levin (Pittsford,
NY) made 13 saves in goal for Brown.
In addition to Britt and Scaglione's four goals, Kenworthy added a hat trick, netting three goals for
the Elis. Junior goalie Roy Skeen made 12 saves in net for Yale.
Brown will be back in action on Saturday for a home game against unbeaten Georgetown. Game
time is 12:00 noon at Stevenson Field. |
