The Game Story:
Sacred Heart rallied from a two-goal deficit in the second half to defeat Drexel, 8-7. The Pioneers scored the final three goals of the third quarter to take a one-goal lead and held Drexel without a goal in the final 15 minutes to earn the win.

Matthew Robideau scored a pair of goals in just 1:17 of play to give Sacred Heart (1-7, 1-0 CAA) the lead with just over two minutes to play in the third period. Peter Greco had an assist on the second goal, which turned out to be the game winner. Neither team scored in the final period. Drexel (3-6, 0-2 CAA) had its chances, but Pioneer goalkeeper Thomas Hind made four saves in the final quarter and finished with 14 on the day.

Pat Simpson (Huntington Valley, Pa./Abington) and Yoni Cohen (Yorktown, N.Y./Yorktown) had scored 38 seconds apart early in the third period to give the Dragons a 7-5 lead.

The teams went to halftime tied at five apiece. Sacred Heart got off to quick start and led 4-2 early in the second quarter. However, the Dragons scored the next three goals to take the lead. Sean Moloney (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) scored first before freshman Erik Haugen (Islip, N.Y./Islip) scored the next two. Haugen had three goals in the period and also had an assist in the contest.

Jonathan Decanio (Clifton, Va./Robinson) also had a goal for Drexel. Ben Giamichael led the Pioneers with three goals and an assist. Robideau and Adam Dzedzy each scored twice.

Ryan Harney (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) made 12 saves in a losing effort for the Dragons. Drexel will play its final home game of the season against Hofstra on Saturday at 2 p.m.
