The Game Story:
Five different Drexel players had two goals as the Dragons defeated Wagner on Franklin Field this evening. Sean Moloney (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) had four points as Drexel improved to 3-2 on the season. The Seahawks are now 0-2.

The Dragons scored the only two goals of the first period. Matt Taylor (Whitby, Ontario/Sinclair) and Jarett Mizzi (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park) had the Dragons goals. Drexel outshot the Seahawks, 13-1, in the first period.

Yoni Cohen (Yorktown, N.Y./Yorktown) had a pair of goals in the second quarter as Drexel increased its lead to 6-2 at the half. Mike Filippone (Northport, N.Y./Northport) was a big reason the Dragons raced to an early lead. He won the first seven face-offs in the game and added an unassisted goal in the second period.

The teams traded goals to start the third period. Moloney scored for Drexel and Tom Marchetti countered for Wagner. Drexel then rattled off the next three goals of the quarter and the first two of the fourth quarter. Taylor and Filippone each scored their second goals of the game and freshman Chris O'Connor (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) notched a pair in the second half. Kevin Zulauf had a goal and an assist in the game for Wagner.

Ryan Harney made two saves as all three Dragons' goalkeepers saw action. Chris Sochacki started for the Seahawks and made 11 saves. Phil Mackenzie picked up one save in five minutes of action. Drexel will play at Ohio State on Saturday afternoon.
