The Game Story:
Philadelphia, Pa. - Yale's Scott Kenworthy scored the game-winning goal with just over one minute to play to lead the Bulldogs, 9-8 over the Drexel Dragons on Sunday afternoon at Franklin Field. The Dragons fall to 2-2 on the season, while the Bulldogs improve to 1-0 in their first outing of the 2004 season.

Kenworthy opened and closed the scoring for Yale, with an unassisted goal just 30 seconds into the game. Pat Simpson got Drexel on the board with 6:40 remaining to even the score at one. Yale struck one more time to gain a 2-1 advantage after the first quarter. Van Sternbergh caught a feed from Daniel Brillman for the tally at 5:14.

The second quarter belonged to Drexel, as the Dragons outscored the Bulldogs, 4-1. Jason Forrester evened up the score with an unassisted goal at 12:41 and then Devin Regan caught a pass from Sean Moloney to make it 3-2 Drexel at 8:02. Moloney and Mike Fillippone would both strike before the half was over to make it 6-2 Drexel. Seth Goldberg and David Schecter teamed to score Yale's only goal of the quarter with 3:03 remaining to make it 6-3 going into the half.

Goldberg opened up the half with an unassisted goal at 11:49 and Schecter added one more at 7:57. Matt Musci and Yoni Cohen got Drexel on the board in the third quarter, allowing the Dragons to hold on to a two-goal advantage.

Yale outscored Drexel 4-1 in the final stanza to earn the win. Goldberg and Kenworthy added one more and Edward Britt notched two straight, while Dennis Barry, Schecter and Ryan Capilupi all tallied assists. Musci scored Drexel's only goal of the quarter at 3:28.

Ryan Harney had 13 saves in goal for Drexel, while Yale's Jordan Ellis earned eight. Drexel completes their three-game home stand on Wednesday night against Wagner on Franklin Field at 7 p.m.
