The Game Story:
BALTIMORE - Sophomore attackman Stephen Brundage had three goals and three assists and Loyola scored the game's first 15 goals as the Greyhounds cruised past Sacred Heart, 17-7, in a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) men's lacrosse game played at Curley Field Tuesday afternoon.

Loyola (5-0, 3-0 CAA) led 5-0 after one quarter, 9-0 at halftime and 15-0 after three quarters before Sacred Heart's Chris Swier finally got his team on the board 1:32 into the fourth quarter. The Greyhounds outshot the Pioneers (2-3, 0-1 CAA) 44-13 through the first three quarters before using reserve players liberally in the final 15 minutes.

Brundage, who moved into the team scoring lead with his six points, was one of 11 Greyhounds to score a goal and one of 13 Loyola players to record a point. Chris Summers had a goal and three assists, while sophomore Shaun Reilly had a goal and two assists in the second half. Joey Case, Matt White, Pat Shek and Mike Coffey each scored two goals for Loyola, which also won 17 of 27 faceoffs.

T.J. Hutmacher had two goals and two assists for Sacred Heart, while Mike Robel added a goal and two assists. The Pioneers had just 28 groundballs compared to 48 for the Greyhounds

Loyola got extra-man goals from Summers and Brundage in the first nine minutes of the game, then got goals from freshmen White and Parker Adams for a 5-0 lead after the first quarter. Brundage scored two of his three goals in the second quarter, and freshmen C.J. Sinisgalli and Chris Einhorn also had goals in that quarter.

Coffey had both of his goals in a 6-0 Loyola third-quarter run, while Summers had two third-quarter assists. The Greyhounds outshot Sacred Heart 20-3 in the third quarter.

Loyola returns to action on Saturday, March 23, traveling to Brown for a non-conference game at 1 p.m.
