The Game Story:
PRINCETON, N.J. - Sean Hartofilis tied his career high with six goals to lead second-ranked Princeton to a 14-3 win over Quinnipiac in front of 1,216 fans on a frigid, damp night at the Class of 1952 Stadium.

The victory, Princeton's sixth straight after two losses to start the season, came in the first game for the Tigers since they lost All-America attackman Ryan Boyle, the nation's leading scorer, to a hamstring injury. Boyle's injury will keep him out indefinitely. Quinnipiac fell to 2-7.

The Princeton win marked the first time in eight Tiger games this season that the visiting team did not win.

"It's indescribable what Ryan does for us," said Princeton's Jason Doneger, who had three goals. "It took us awhile to get used to not having him out there."

Princeton led 7-0 at halftime and outshot Quinnipiac 57-19 for the night. Bobcat goalie T.J. Barnett made 17 saves to keep his team in the game.

Hartofilis scored four of his goals in the first half and finished his night with a behind-the-back goal to equal the career-high of six he had against Rutgers 10 days earlier. Hartofilis has 27 goals for the season and 112 for his career, three away from tying for fifth all-time at Princeton and eight away from tying for third.

Quinnipiac, led by two goals and an assist by freshman Josh Murray, scored the first three goals of the second half, but Hartofilis answered Murray's second with his fifth 19 seconds later to make it 8-3. Princeton would score the final seven goals of the game.

Hartofilis scored his six goals on 14 shots. The remainder of the team scored eight goals on 43 shots.

Doneger had an assist to go with his three goals, while Drew Casino had a pair of goals for the Tigers. Brad Dumont, Mac Bryson and J.G. Guidera scored once each.

Princeton is off for eight days before hosting Harvard April 12 and then traveling to Cornell a week later for a game that could determine the Ivy League championship.

"Ryan almost certainly won't play against Harvard," Tierney said of his junior attackman, who has six goals and 24 assists in six games. "We'd like to get him back for Cornell, but it's very difficult to say if he'll be able to play by then."
