The Game Story:
Baltimore, MD^×Junior attackman Ryan Obloj scored four goals, including three in the first six minutes of play, to lead Towson (5-4) to a 17-8 non-conference victory over UMBC (3-6) at UMBC Stadium Wednesday evening.

After UMBC^Òs Adam Shiley gave UMBC a 1-0 lead 1:59 into the game, Obloj scored a pair of unassisted goals, and, after Collin Meerholz made it 3-1 at the 6:03 mark, Obloj completed the hat trick just 17 seconds later. The Tigers added two more first quarter scores, and outscored the Retrievers, 4-0, in the second quarter to lead 10-1 at intermission.

Towson outscored UMBC, 6-2 in the third quarter and coasted the rest of the way. Obloj added two assists, while linemate Brad Reppert added three goals and three assists to pace Towson. Alex Fountain and Hunter Lochte scored two goals each for TU, as sophomore netminder John Hunt allowed just two Retriever goals, making 11 saves in 44 minutes of work.

Shiley, sophomore attackman Justin Smith, and freshman attackman Leigh DiPace had two goals each for UMBC. The Retrievers have dropped three straight, while Towson has now won two in a row.
