The Game Story:
New Haven, CT - Junior Kyle Hollingsworth's unassisted goal with 11 seconds remaining broke an 8-8 tie and lifted the 16th-ranked Brown men's lacrosse team to its sixth straight win, 9-8, over Yale in an Ivy League game at Reece Stadium. Sophomore Thomas Muldoon added four goals for Brown, who extended its record to 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the Ivy League, while Yale fell to 2-6 overall, 0-4 in Ivy play.

Junior goalie Jordan Burke made his 11th save of the game for the Bears with 2:35 left in the fourth quarter to give Brown possession. Following a successful Brown clear, Hollingsworth missed on his first two shots, both sailing wide. His third shot was a charm, beating Yale goalie George Carafides to give Brown the victory.

Brown took an early 1-0 lead on a goal by junior Jack Walsh. The Elis answered with three straight goals to pull ahead, 3-1, with 13:53 left in the second quarter.

Bears' sophomore Thomas Muldoon scored three of the next four goals in a 4-0 Brown spurt to lift the Bears to a 5-3 advantage with 41 seconds left in the half. Muldoon's first two goals tied the game, 3-3, and Brady Williams goal with 4:08 remaining gave Brown a 4-3 advantage. Muldoon's third goal lifted the Bears to a 5-3 lead.

Yale got back in the game on Brendan Glass' goal with eight seconds left in the half and Kyle Washabaugh's second goal of the game just seven seconds into the second half to tie the game, 5-5.

Bears' freshman Andrew Feinberg gave Brown a 6-5 lead with 12:56 left in the third quarter on a pass from Walsh. But the Eils got a goal from Matt Fuchs two minutes later to tie the game, 6-6, through three quarters.

Goals by Muldoon and Hollingsworth gave the Bears an 8-6 lead with 9:43 left in the game, but Glass scored two straight goals for Yale to tie the game, 8-8 with 5:11 left in regulation.

The Bears return to Ivy League action next Saturday, April 12, traveling to Philadelphia to face Penn. Game time is 12:00 noon at Franklin Field.
