The Game Story:
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Sophomore attack Jake Boyce (Pittsford, N.Y.) scored three goals and added a pair of assists, leading Binghamton (3-5, 2-0 AE) to a 10-4 win over Vermont (3-6, 0-2 AE) in an America East Conference men's lacrosse game on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Stadium. In addition to remaining unbeaten in conference play, the Bearcats improve to 3-0 at home this season.

Boyce has now recorded four consecutive hat tricks, something no other player in school history has accomplished. He leads the Bearcats with 15 goals so far this season as well as 20 total points.

Sophomore midfielder Duncan Streeten (Corning, N.Y.) and freshman attack Jeff Rurey (Vestal, N.Y.) each added two goals against the Catamounts while sophomore attack Chris Mulheron (Canandaigua, N.Y.) had a goal and an assist.

In the first quarter, Boyce scored two of his goals. His second one came with four seconds remaining, giving the Bearcats a 3-1 advantage.

The Bearcats blew the game open late in the second quarter, scoring four times in a span of 4:51. Boyce had a goal and an assists and Rurey had both of his goals during that run.

Mulheron scored 39 seconds into the third quarter, giving the Bearcats an 8-1 cushion. From that point on, the two teams traded goals the rest of the way.

For the game, Binghamton outshot Vermont 51-23 and won 13 of the 18 faceoffs.

Binghamton heads to Colgate for a 7 p.m. game on Tuesday
